Bucky! *runs and hugs him tightly*

《《 The excitement was building up in him like lava in a volcano, ready to erupt.

The hardest part had arrived now, the baby's shoulders. The nurse helped to guide the process until the shoulders were nearly free.

"That's it! We're almost there!"

《《 When she did, Hal would sneak in a couple of kisses, still trying to comfort her as much as possible.

When the nurse told Loki to push again, Hal squeezed her hand, bracing himself as if he were pushing with her.

"The head is out! Keep going! You're doing wonderful, my Emerald!" 》》

《《 Bring our child into the world."

He whispered in her ear, wiping away more sweat from her brow.

He looked at the nurse and nodded as she gave her own reassurance to Loki.

"Come on, love! You can do this! Keep pushing!"

The nurse instructed Loki to stop in between contractions to rest. 》》

Hal was a nervous wreck as Loki began to push. He knew she was in a great deal of pain, and it hurt him that he was unable to stop it or comfort her.

He simply held her head, wiping her brow with a moist towel along the way.

"I know it hurts, my love. You can do this though. 》》

《《 Hal looked down at Loki, already disheveled. She was still beautiful.

"Are you ready, my Emerald? Let's bring our child into the world."

《《 The maids had brought in water and every so often, Hal would hold a glass to her lips to help keep her hydrated.

As the night went on, the nurses scrambled to get her ready until it was time.

[ Your Highness, it is time to begin pushing. ] 》》

"I know it hurts, love."

He had no clue.

"You are doing so good, and our child will be here very soon."

His other hand rubs across her belly, as if telling their child to go easy on his or her mother. 》》

Hal felt absolutely helpless as he watched his wife struggle through the pain.

He never let go of her hand, but even he was unable to console her.

He whispered encouraging words in her ear throughout the night, trying his best to help her 》》

He chuckled then sighed.

"I will just be happy to have a healthy child, with you."

As he could see her pain worsening, he promptly called for the nurses to come.

"Let's get you ready, darling. I'll be right here every step of the way."

《《 His hand laced with hers, his other still gently circling her belly.

He could feel the baby was being active and knew the time was drawing near.

He smiled when she asked what he thought the baby would be.

"It does not matter to me, love. I do feel it is a boy, only because of 》》

Despite his wife trying to disguise her pain, it was written on her face. Hal hated when she felt even the slightest discomfort, but he also knew that there was little he could do to ease it.

"My sweet Emerald. I'm so sorry. I promise I'll do all I can to make this easier for you." 》》
