far from home she doesnt do much, but homecoming and civil war establish interesting things about their relationship and her past
so I wouldnt call her just a joke

I mean they Just have him actlng like the other movie peters
They are all much nicer then peters comic self. It’s not really a miles thing. He’s pretty distinct despite what detractors will tell you.
October 27, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Honestly by the fortune teller episode, they had clearly started leaning into katara as endgame, at the latest the cave episode at the beginning of season 2
October 1, 2025 at 12:22 AM
like yeah, some of his decisions do and according to Toriyama are supposed make you question how good of a person he is. but even now he’ll help someone because their car broke down. he’s no hero, because he takes unheroic risk For his own satisfaction. but he cares for others And doing right.

I mean that does happen in dbs. they give whole speeches about believing in Goku and how he’s changed the people around him. Trusting him to build a team, and that he’ll get them out of any situation.
September 12, 2025 at 4:09 AM
Tbf, that love is still there in dbs even more so in some ways. We are talking about the goku. who’s most involved as a family man. And z Goku is the guy who decided to stay on yardrat to train instead of letting them wish him home. You can say a lot about super, but he loves his family

Spoilers ~kinda

He’s going with the idea of kara being born on Argo long after krypton explodes. And not all kryptonians shared jors idea of continuing the bloodline. So she has mostly the same morality as mainline but rougher around the edges, like in “woman of Tommorow”
August 23, 2025 at 5:20 AM
Yeah, she did. Just saying the dangers of being around her were not a focus or worry for basically anybody. They let her right in the juke once they knew who she was. but her appearance definitely could have caused problems. But everyone seemed willing to take a risk to be around her
May 5, 2025 at 4:36 AM
I mean those movies aren’t based on nothing. Passing is a real thing people did to get by after all. And there were rules to stop people with that genetic make up from being included with whites. Homer A Plessy being one. Just curious how people like him family situations worked
May 5, 2025 at 4:28 AM
It’s just the classic idea of being reckless for love and freedom. Willing to be hurt for love, despite your love wanting to separate for what they perceive as your benefit.
movies are all about risk takers. Stacks a gangster and a pimp, and bought the mill from the kkk. They took a big risk.
May 5, 2025 at 1:32 AM
she’s certainly selfish. It’s even in the song about their relationship,
But also his point is never about his safety but about what they would do to her if they found out what she is. And after hearing about old movies about a white girl related to black people they were indeed treated like poc
May 5, 2025 at 1:27 AM
Yes, but he’s also on the outside trying to convince smoke to step out, on the inside there’s no need for coercion which is why he kills Annie and tries to bite smokes neck with no words.
Mary ain’t really In it to kill them anymore then she was In it to kill stack. Scary line though
May 4, 2025 at 4:10 PM
I did. But we are talking about her desires what she wanted. And not every decision she makes is what she wants
May 4, 2025 at 7:21 AM
Maybe, you could say this about a lot of situations turns out when you’re going through it, it’s a little harder then from outside. Theres a lot of specifics we don’t know. She did end up leaving though to see her mama and staying for stack and to mingle, stack had her acting reckless.
May 4, 2025 at 7:20 AM
She was convinced to do this yes. This conversation is only happening because you said she wanted to be white. Nah She was convinced too but she didn’t want that. This is explicitly stated in the film. Same thing as being convinced to go and stay anywhere you hate. An Abusive marriage, school
May 4, 2025 at 7:14 AM
Again, I’m not mad at Sammie for being cautious. Just saying it wasn’t her idea, and she’d have preferred to just stay there but really where ever stack was at,
May 4, 2025 at 7:10 AM
Again, about her desires I don’t particularly care if you’re happy for them.
May 4, 2025 at 7:09 AM
She did what she was told, hated it. and she’s not getting questioned because of how she acts but because of how she looks, and it’s only by Sammie who’s just confused about what she is and doesn’t remember her. everyone else is accepting because they know what she is.
May 4, 2025 at 6:41 AM
She saw stack. Wanted answers for why he never came back. And stuck to him for 60 years after that. Now she’s a vampire so she couldn’t be normal. but she could have turned her husband but she don’t like him, and she don’t care about being white, so it’s stack for life.
May 4, 2025 at 6:39 AM
He did actually, she specifically said all that was your idea, I didn’t want no white man. I didn’t want to be white, I wanted to be with you. He says I wanted you somewhere safe, and that wasn’t here, that wasn’t with me
Now, what happens to in Arkansas is all off screen. But what we know is
May 4, 2025 at 6:36 AM
Ok. But this is about her desires so her feelings do matter
May 4, 2025 at 6:33 AM
She hasn’t been back in a long time. But those were still people she loved and valued. Who knew her. And she clearly feel some type of way about being considered white considering how defensive she gets about it.
May 4, 2025 at 6:16 AM
You’re laughing, but being able to be talked into doing something doesn’t mean it was something you wanted. You could be miserable the whole time, and she clearly was and she just waited for him to come back
May 4, 2025 at 6:15 AM
I mean stack, did kill Annie, and tried to bite someone before getting doused with garlic. So it’s not like he was thinking too hard about what people would want that night either before being defeated. Mary didn’t take Sammie out either for those 60 years. And it wasn’t even her promise
