Currently 0° / -8° Windchill. Interesting hyperlocal weather event this am at 4:30. The temp suddenly dropped from 3° to -4° for 4 hours and the wind stopped then the temp jumped back to 6° and the wind picked back up again (just nod and smile like you care, please).

The passing of President Carter reminded me of the time in 1977 or 1978 that the Carters generously opened the Rose Garden for tours and we happened to be in Washington at the time. This is me just outside the oval office.
