is it a mindfuck to just be a guy who makes videos and be presumed to be in a club with all these other creators? as a viewer it seems like it would be strange to have all those expectations mapped onto you when “breadtube” has always been mostly very distinct voices who sorta align politically

there’s a lot of that near main roads and stuff, but when you’re more out of the way they get more open ended iirc

not that any of this is new obviously. i just feel like the past year has really seen an advance in people abandoning basic decency and embracing obvious vile ideas, while also engaging with and consuming misinfo. like with covid denialism, those people were lost but it wasn’t pure evil. just stupid

it is extremely daunting to try and imagine a way out of this; when so many people are seeming to abandon truth as a virtue, how the fuck do you bring them back?
