Trying to think of something clever, but today isn't the day. Pop culture and stuff.
Hell, even Married... poked fun at his rep in a episode or two.

I'll say this--Jefferson D'arcy was the perfect friend for Al. Steve Rhoades was just too square and uptight; meanwhile, Jefferson was down to clown. He even laughed when Al made jokes at Marcy's expense (behind her back, of course).

Commando was the quintessential '80s movie, and Arnold's best from that decade.

That poor kid was named after one of the Little Rascals?

I was one of those kids who NEVER got into any version of Saved by the Bell.

Seen the trailer for GOAT, and it just looks like a poor man's Madagascar.

If they're looking for a new film franchise... this ain't it.

I had mine pre-ordered in SEPTEMBER. Was supposed to come in Friday; it switched to "we'll email you when it ships."

SERIOUSLY bummed out.

And apparently, it's also out of stock in Amazon.

My estimated Friday delivery has changed to we will notify you when available.

Rat bastards

I pre-ordered in September--I'm hoping they ship it tomorrow

Yup, made under the same creator/producer Walter Lantz.

The 40's Woody Woodpecker shorts were excellent, as most of the 50s ones. Once the got to the 60s, though, the animation and jokes took a huge dive.

Imus was the big morning man in the early 80's, until Howard Stern (who was on afternoons on the same station) was fired from WNBC & crushed him in the ratings on a rival station. Imus was already irrelevant by the time Rush got big, and was long forgotten for 20 years until the Rutgers comments.

It's about three seasons too long

"There's a distribution center where I live, Amazon. I can walk down and pick it up after work, save your trucks the cost of fuel to deliver it."

And while they looked solid visually for theatrical releases in the 1960s (at a time where most animation studios either shifted to television, slashed budgets, or just shut down altogether),
Chuck Jones' T&J shorts were boring. He wasn't a fan of the characters, either--it was just work to him.

Yeah, I wound up getting the CinemaScope collection, too. At least it wasn't too expensive, and I plan on donating it to the local library, so it won't go to waste.

At least MeTV Toons is dedicated to airing those classic shorts daily, and have been doing a great job of doing so.

The blu-ray comes with a sixth disc full of bonus features (the standard DVD set only has commentaries) and there is only a $10 price difference between the two. I'd say, spring for the blu-ray version.

Don't feel bad--my copy isn't due until the 5th.

Sylvester Jr. was just a bougie little bastard who was more focused on image than the welfare of his father.

God, I hated him
