Yesterday in Ellsworth we had an outstanding turnout for the march to protest all that is wrong in America today, standing up to a tyrant and the power grab by billionaires. We need a critical mass to succeed. If you haven’t already, please join us. We can do this. We must do this!

Played music with two friends this evening at the Common Good Soup Kitchen in Southwest Harbor. Great food, beautiful people, all welcome, smiles, community, joy, empathy, simple kindness… the best of what humans can be. I feel grateful and so fortunate. One love.

Cruising home from a great night of playing music, my mind still immersed in a song. Blue lights flashing in rear view mirror. Yep, I was feeling good, my right foot keeping the beat. Trouble is, it was on the accelerator. Officer let me go with a warning. Just want to thank decent police officers.

Drove to Schoodic this afternoon. Spring arrives with frost heaves big enough to bounce my head off the ceiling of my pickup. Music on random. Inca Roads, Zappa’s solo, unique, creative and so expressive. Tells a story like no one else on guitar. Ruth and George not shabby either. Life is good.
