Which tie would you pick if you were a scientific attaché?
We chose the (green) one that tells a story! ...a story of a pea. A tie from Brno, the capital of electron microscopy where genetics was born. Created by two scientists and gifted by @ceitec.eu to serve in diplomatic service. 🫡

It was supposed to be just a few words of welcome at @ceitec.eu and suddenly I was holding the mic for half the event! Spoiler: our fake “moderation hand-off” worked prefectly.😅 That’s Brnoregion Microscopy – witty, but pro! No wonder – one third of the world’s electron microscopes come from Brno! 💚

Researchers from 16 European research institutes took the stage at @ceitec.eu like true rock stars – no guitars, just groundbreaking science, charisma, and a lot of good vibes! Congrats to the winners of the first EU-LIFE cience Vision Talk Contest!

At a #velvetinnovation meetup in #brnoregion with a monthly pitch session of innovation we tasted caffeine-free coffee made from fruit stones (the coffee bean is actually just the stone of the coffee cherry). Tasted a bit more acidic and had a thinner flavour, but I wouldn't mind having it again!

Another great TED-style talk at @ceitec.eu Masaryk University! Our "Sip of Science" lectures not only show what goes on in the labs but also teach junior scientists how to talk about science to a diverse audience. Toay's hands-on experience by Jakub from Cellular Imaging lab (CELLIM) was top!

What's the equation of our #brnoregion innovation ecosystem? Friendship+collaboration=useful+fun. Why else would 200 different people get together every month(!) to talk about business, innovation or research? We live #velvetinnovation in Brno.

Get emotions into science stories! Make it about other people or even you! Make people marvel and wonder!
