We have a 1.5m rule here - it isn’t a law but breaking it could be considered driving without due care and attention. However the enforcement is very variable. Some police forces are more on it than others.

@primeministeruk.bsky.social A driver killing a cyclist is always a ‘momentary’ lack of concentration. A cyclist killing a pedestrian is always done with reckless, murderess intent, so they should be jailed. This why cyclists will never get a fair trial - especially in front of a jury of motorists.

Very good. I was thinking of watching it tonight but got side tracked. There’s a cycling connection there too. You don’t get to a ripe old age without keeping active.

One of the first things I saw once the LTN went in were a couple of quite young kids playing in the street unattended. Then there were the young riding around on bikes too. They were having the sort of youth I had in the 70s.

Off the top of my head, Heaven can wait, One Day, The Split, Love Sarah, Slow Horses - probably many more I can’t recall. It’s got to the stage where if anyone starts riding a bike you know they are going to die. Well done to Bad Sisters for not killing Angelica.

This one appeared on Millbank - the crossing with Great Peter Street. Just across the road from the Houses of Parliament. They can’t miss them!
