Still here after doing this a while
1% of teacher tappers thought that Y2 should know their 6 or 8 times tables. It's only 40 teachers, who presumably have identified themselves as primary-focussed, but still 😬

Reminds me of this fabulous book. Maybe what @adamboxereducation.bsky.social said made sense to the channel tunnel sea life and they've all hidden themselves.

I remembered Susie Dent posting this somewhere else.

It made me think of my a-level English teacher that said I couldn't use conciliation, only reconciliation.

I had a series of books including this one. Once I realised I could read it on my own, I read everything I could. The library must've saved my parents a pretty penny.

I'm moving back into y2 after years in UKS2 and am dreading the scripts. I'm all for shared vocabulary and definitions for consistency: it saves misconceptions and makes retrieval simpler. Too far into scripts though and then what's the purpose of a teacher being in the room?

Have you looked at the BookSky feed 💙📚?

I've not read as much this holiday as I'd have liked (lots of napping!) but I've enjoyed Lilith (almost finished) and Yellowface and am thinking The Women of Troy for my next read.

I can't think of one specifically about moving house but this one about a little bear who can't sleep (no light is big enough!) is very comforting about changes. 'Archie Hates Pink' is another book about changes - his owner paints the house pink & he wants the old colour back.

Happy Bernard Day! These 2 certainly have a special place in my family's collective heart.

I'm still so disappointed. These scientists (false science peddlers) should be too.
