for sure! i just warn against that phrase when engaging with creationists. this “more/less evolved” idea makes them think “why do we still have monkeys and apes” is a gotcha. every animal is adapted for its own niche.

i wouldnt use that language, because there are a lot of “good paths.” evolution only selects for surviving and reproducing, not inventing 5G or landing on the moon. sharks have survived millions of years longer than we have without tools, and only time will tell if roaches fare “better” than we will

thats why “humans are evolved animals” is a problematic phrase. “we share a common ancestor” would be better. but this post is mostly ragebait all the way down, anyway

not to “well actually,” but all animals are equally “evolved.” they evolved to fit different niches. most animals are a lot better than humans at surviving in their environments without tools and constructs, because thats what they have evolved to do
