I like the idea of it, but don't think it would work. Like, the central conceit of Love is War is that Miyuki and Kaguya are too big of cowards to just confess to one another whereas Mai's initial character flaw is her overconfidence. If MaiSatsu were in Love is War, it'd be over in a chapter.

I think that Ajisai translates to 'Hydrangea'. Mikami talks about how Mai's name has 'royalty' (Ouzuka) in it, Satsuki has 'moon' (Tsuki), Renako has 'girl' (-nako) (also me when my name translates to 'woman lover') and Ajisai's is a flower.
