Then they pressed down hard on where he was pierced already, and Ed groaned, loud and genuine, and that was when the fresh needle went in, cold and hot at the same time, a counterpoint to the pain in the other places. E’ds voice changed pitch, and he felt like was going to burst, and all the arms in his muscles tensed with the effort of holding himself still until the needle came out again and Jim withdrew their hands and it was safe to grind his poor trapped cock into the bed and make Jim laugh again.

#WIPWednesday time for Jim/Ed needleplay!!!

“Okay, take a deep breath in.”
Ed did, feeling his ribs expand, pressing more firmly up against Jim’s hand.
The needle stopped moving now. Ed felt only the barest sensation where his skin, still unbroken, dipped under the pressure of its tip.
“Now breathe out, for a count of four. One,” Jim said, and Ed breathed out, and Jim pushed the needle in, and that tiny point of pressure turned into pain, sharp and bright, and the feeling of metal under his skin, forcing its way in, forcing skin and flesh to make way for it until the tip pierced him again, an exit wound to hold the shaft in place.
Ed didn’t notice Jim counting to three and four. All he knew was the way that one spot turned to sharp pain like a picture coming into focus. His own heavy breathing, and the sudden, unexpected stirring in his groin. Jim’s hand holding him steady.
The needle was so small you could use it to pin a butterfly; Ed was a thousand times bigger and he felt just as firmly pinned.

Evelyn put her leather gloved hand at Mary’s breastbone and pushed, gently, back down to the bed, holding her in place.
“Evelyn?” she asked, nervously.
“Let him watch,” Evelyn said, and watched the hitch in Mary’s breath. As nervous as she was of being discovered, she felt it too, the heat of arousal at the thought of Doug finding them, like this. “Let him see how it’s done.”

For #GarlicSoupWeek fluff day, a slice of life from the same Archie/Zheng WIP I've been teasing all week, in which Olu and Jim are away for the weekend and Archie and Zheng, who have never hung out one on one before, find themselves looking for something to do.

“Hello, lover of my lover. My lover-in-law,” Archie grinned. She leaned in the doorway, still wearing her uniform from the zoo, dirt stuck to the hems.

Zheng raised an eyebrow. “Don’t you have your own shower at your place?”

Archie gave a hooting laugh. “Maybe I just couldn’t wait to see you.”

Zheng felt a hot flare of annoyance. “I’m not here to just fill in whenever your partners aren’t around.”

“Never said I was,” Archie said. “But my home’s empty and it’s Friday night and I wanted to see someone else.”

Zheng watched her thoughtfully for a moment, taking in the casual lean and the dirty boots and the twinkle in Archie’s eye. They’d known each other for a whole year but never spent much time together. Zheng had never thought about it, really. Her work kept her busy enough that having date nights with Olu and the occasional movie night with his other partners kept her calendar pretty full. She didn’t think she and Archie had ever just… talked.

“Come in and have a drink,” she said, stepping away from the door. “But those boots stay outside.”

“It’s impossible to eat this,” Zheng said, as she tried to stab the wooden fork into the soft chips under the tougher strips of meat.
Archie pinched a couple of chips and shreds of lamb in her fingers, swiped the whole lot through the sauce, and shoved the entire handful in her mouth with a bit of cheese still stretching back into the melted mass in the box.
“Not that hard,” she said, around the mouthful.
Zheng was making a face. She knew she was making a face. This was another reason people sometimes thought she was a snob, but her face just did that sometimes when things were… messy.
“I mean, I can get you something else if you don’t like it,” Archie said. “I just thought, I know you like chicken and spicy things, and I swear it’s good.”
“Of course. No, no, you’re fine,” Zheng said, still frowning. “I just don’t usually eat with my fingers.”
“Ahh, right. Because you don’t like mess.”
“It’s not the mess,” Zheng sighed. “It’s more like. I like how I look, you know? Just for me. But I also like looking powerful. I had to, in the crime world, and now with the union when we’re arguing for pay. It’s worth so much more to be put together, because it means you don’t give them an opening. Not a single way that they can undermine you. And yet they’ll still underestimate you, becase… well.”

“Because you’re not white, or a man,” Archie said, with the weight of plenty of familiarity.
“Yes.”
“So you have to be in control.”
“Yes.”
“But what if you didn’t?” Archie bumped their shoulders together. “This isn’t the black market, and it isn’t the bargaining table. Why not get messy. See if you like it.”
“If I like it?”
Archie swallowed, finally. “Sure,” she grinned. “When’s the last time you got messy? Do you even remember what it’s like?”
There was too much in that to answer – it was already more introspection than Zheng had prepared for on a night out with this goofy, irrepressible woman – but even if Zheng wasn’t prepared for mess, she wasn’t going to back down from a challenge. She dug her hand into the box decisively, not even trying to keep any of her fingers out of the sauce, and put a handful in her mouth just like Archie had.
This was a long way from the humble soup. It was about as different as you could get without being haute cuisine, but it was worth the ride. Fluffy, hot potato, the meat savoury and tender and then crisp on the edges, the cheese stretching and holding them together. Even the different sauces, which had seemed far too much, all brought something, chilli and smoky sweetness and garlic and lemon.

“Wow,” Zheng said, wiping sauce off her lips with the back of her hand. “You weren’t kidding.”
“I would never fuck you around about good food,” Archie grinned back.
Zheng was debating whether to lick her fingers when she heard someone calling her from across the road. She looked around wildly for something to wipe her hand on.
“Is it so bad to be caught with sriracha on your hands?” Archie asked, bemused.
“It could be someone from the department. I’m mid negotiations! I don’t want to be caught at a disadvantage.”
She started scrubbing at the space between her fingers with a scrap from the ground when Archie said “too slow,” grabbed Zheng’s wrist and put two of Zheng’s fingers in her mouth.

“No no no I want to!” Archie tried to stand up, rubbed her face, and slumped back against Zheng. “I had this whole plan. I was gonna take you out and do all this cool stuff and show you a good time.”
“You did!”
“Yeah but it was supposed to be so I could take you home and give you the rug-munching of a lifetime.”
Zheng swallowed. “Good.”
“I’m too drunk to be any fucking good at it now though,” Archie moaned.”I’m gonna get between your legs and then pass out, I just know it, it’s the worst.”
Zheng took a deep breath, and felt something settle in her. something was going right, here. She’d had a beautiful night, letting Archie treat her like a queen, and now she was going to live up to the crown.
She took Archie by the chin, tilted her head up to meet her eyes. She could feel Archie swallow hard against the back of her hand, feel the intake of breath, and see the clarity as Archie’s cloudy eyes snapped into focus on hers.
“Don’t worry about that,” Zheng murmured. “Let’s just get you home, and then I’ll take care of you.”
“Okay, yep, definitely,” said Archie, hoarsely.

“You don’t have to do that.” Zheng said. “I don’t need your pity. I’m fine. Olu’s gone for one weekend.”
“Okay, but I’m bored without them,” Archie said, apparently without any sense of jealousy or self-consciousness. “I wanna do something. And you deserve someone taking you out to dinner.”
“Olu takes me out.”
“Uh, I think you mean you take him out.”
Zheng glared. Archie, either oblivious or undeterred, continued. “You’re clearly the boss in that relationship.”
“What’s wrong with that?” Zheng said, tense.
“Nothing. It’s hot!” Archie grinned. “Just, you’re always bossing him around, making all the plans. Don’t you wonder what it would be like to have someone plan your date? And you just have to show up?”
“Olu would do it if I asked.”
“Of course he would. He’d do anything you asked.”

“Then you’re missing out,” Archie hissed. She kicked the broken glass aside and dropped to her knees.
“My bad,” she grinned. “Guess you’ll have to punish me.”
Zheng was frowning, but her mouth twitched. “Head down,” she said.
Archie leaned forward and winked at Olu right before Zheng’s heel pressed down on her back.

“This isn’t working,” Jim groaned. Olu held them in his lap, arms around their waist. And Archie’s hand was buried in the squidlike tentacles that grew from Jim’s groin.
“Relax,” Olu murmured.
“Nah, get scared,.” Archie slapped Jim, right where tentacles met skin. Jim groaned. Black ink trickled down one tendril.
A cannon fired. The door splintered. The bandits rushed in.
Archie’s fingers found their mark, and Jim found theirs. With a thrust and a groan, they sprayed black squid ink across the room, blinding the invaders.
“Run,” Archie grabbed their hand, and Jim followed them on trembling, grateful legs.

Fang loves this life, but not when the cold, windy night makes his back ache. He’s in the galley looking for relief when there are arms around his waist, a warm body against the pain.
“My friend,” said Roach, “You only need to ask.”
Fang hesitates at the Captain’s cabin, but Roach turns the key and walks past the sleeping captains without breaking stride. In the ensuite, there are still clouds of steam rolling from the bath water.
Fang’s taking the belt belt from his waist when Roach turns away.
“Stay,” Fang says. “Please?”
Roach smiles. “So glad you asked.”

This morning I'm going deep in my WIP pile and... apparently I started a roller derby original fic in 2021 with a protagonist named Eddie. Before OFMD or Deadloch came out.

Roller derby is a sport that gets you close to each other. You get close as human beings going through the same thing together, and you get close as teammates who have to touch each other all the time in a very physically intimate game.
Roller derby is also very, very queer.
These facts, all together, seemed like they should be good for dating. That was like, half the reason that Eddie had taken up the sport. She was not keen on sports, really, but they said that was fine, most derby skaters didn’t like sports until they found this one. She was here, mostly, to meet other queer girls and hopefully date one of them.
Some of the flaws in this plan:
1. The physical intimacy of roller derby did not make it any easier to ask someone out. Strangely it did not magically make any of Eddie’s usual anxiety go away.
2. Lots of people in this sport were so devastatingly hot that Eddie had a crippling crush on one of her coaches almost immediately and turned into a tongue-tied buffoon whenever she was leading training.
3. Said coach was also so intimidatingly talented at skating that it was impossible to imagine that she would ever take an interest in Eddie. Obviously Eddie could never be her equal.
4. The whole contact sport made having a hopeless crush even worse because it was the first crush of Eddie’s life where she had to touch them all the time.
