Most hard standings will only mean a wider disparity between the two methods. I do this for a living, you have watched a worker through a window, please believe me, blowers exist and are bought in huge numbers for very good reasons.

You're sure or you reckon? An example, customer has several acres of lawn with turkey oaks, maples, beeches etc. The boys and I clear it twice a year besides what's picked up by mowing, it takes one day. By rake we'd be there a week.
