Not counting VR stuff, ports and Fruit Ninja Kinect 2, this will be the first new title Halfbrick made for the consoles since 2010's Raskulls. Whether or not this means we'll be getting more console releases is unknown, but I'm hoping for the best.

The plot summary given was "A team of misfits are recruited to become Fruit Ninjas in order to save the world." Very vague, to the point that it's unclear if Sensei and any of his students were going to appear or if it's a completely new story unrelated to Fruitasia.
