Non-stretch jeans made of 99% cotton are stiffer, heavier, and they create a shape of their own and hold that shape instead of clinging to the shape of your actual body, which helps a LOT
(This all generally goes for non-denim pants/shorts too)

And I get the idea of like, “oh my lower half has this built, jeans with stretch will accommodate that better,” but i urge you to try jeans WITHOUT stretch instead! It’s been way better for me!

The difference between jeans in the exact same size and cut that are like 70%-80% cotton blended with polyester/spandex/elastene VS jeans that are 99% cotton/1% elastene is night and day, the blended fabric jeans (usually marketed as “flex” or “stretch”) make things worse without fail

In my experience, synthetic fabrics, especially fabrics built for stretch, almost always make things worse because of the way the fabric clings? Drapes? to my hips/thighs and makes my body shape way more pronounced in the worst ways.

Also for pants, speaking as someone who still has big problems with fat distribution on my hips/thighs, I’ve found that fabric type is more important than anything else. You want to get something as close to 100% or 99% cotton as possible and ideally fabric that feels heavier. Thinking esp.of jeans
