Short answer “no”.

The title is misleading.

Passport books and passport cards area already used at TSA checkpoints to pass security and there won’t be an added fee to use them because foreign travelers do not have a way to obtain a real id drivers license.

There’s no real reason to get Real ID, unless you want to use your driver’s license to pass through airport security.

If you have a passport or passport card, then getting real ID is like having belts and suspenders.

Passport cards only cost $30 and are good for 10 years. $3/year.

Minnesota in December? Is it possible that it’ll be too cold for “ICE”?

What this article dances around is the “K” shaped economy. For those in the top 10% of household income, the economy is doing fine and they’re spending lavishly. For the remaining 90% of households, the economy isn’t doing well at all.

Hi Steve,
It’s been a while since it’s been done, but the Fed could do a rate cut between meetings. Usually that’s because of urgent economic circumstances, but it’s an option.

Hi Steve,
Is there speculation of how much Q3 GDP was pulling purchases forward to avoid tariffs or the loss of tax credits (EVs/Solar)?

The insidious thing about this is that these increased premiums will NOT show up in the CPI numbers for next year. The reason is that the CPI only takes the profits by insurance companies into consideration to calculate the CPI.

If fewer take up insurance, it may even look deflationary to the CPI.
