Thanks for sharing my paper! I'd like to clarify that the proportion of theory work might be understated. The sampling criteria excluded journals focused primarily on reviews (e.g., Psych Review, ERSP), which do more theory work. So the lack of theory is in top (mostly) empirical journals.
