That's the thing, bad actors could just say a person with adhd for example needs to attend six months of counselling to see if that helps their 'distress' first. Going round in circles, with the aim of holding up care. Further assessments etc.

I also am very uneasy about the relatively subtle but clear indications that having autism or adhd etc may be used to prevent gender affirming care by allowing transphobic doctors to say they should be treated first.

The Guardian mentioned the balance, but didnt mention the part about appointment cancellations dropping pretty much to zero in those clinics where appointment-making procedures were adjusted based on patient feedback. No quotes from sex matters either thank goodness. Only Transactual.
