Sending this around again bc it just makes us SO happy. I reread it and marvel at the things said, at how we are perceived — we really are doing what we set out to do! This recognition is so special and encouraging. Thank you so so much.
One of the most quietly powerful presses out there, @epistemiclit.bsky.social, has been spotlighted for #IndieLitMagGala 2025.

Big thanks to Jennifer (@einetogi.bsky.social) for the heartfelt nomination—this one hit us deep.

Delighted to have a series of poems up at @eunoiareview.bsky.social over the last few days. They published one of my first ever published poems last year and will always be special to me! This prose poem is one of my faves of the bunch 🥰
Young Summer

My body remembers the salt sweet of summer. Relief of the ice cream truck singing its siren from several blocks away. Digging quarters out of the communal change jar. Popsicles melting down sun-slick elbows. Remembers the perfume of July. Long grass and thick weeds lapped behind knees…

Sizzle skin stuck to the basketball pole if you left a limb on black metal for too long.

So glad this piece found the perfect home in @epistemiclit.bsky.social 's latest issue, Nostalgia. Check out the rest of the issue and the amazing writing there! And if you hear me mess up the Italian accent in the recording of this...no you didnt 👀
So, so many quotable lines in this piece by @haleydirenzo.bsky.social but I think this one contains so much: “It was not so much the money, but how it had allowed me to accomplish a dream, born
from the regret of him missing out on one.” #Nostalgia across generations, a force for good
THE GIFT OF A NEW LANGUAGE -
Near the end of his life, my grandfather lost his language, then gained his mother tongue. A fewmonths after dementia had taken all but his childhood

Been wanting to share some work on social without first getting the validation of publication, so before I talk myself out of it, here's something timely. Happy Fourth and holding on to stupid hope.

Thrilled to have these two poems in January House about long ago by a girl (me) who's never gotten over anything in her life, aka a poet.
Two Poems by Haley DiRenzo

Betta FishMy senior year of high school, I pulled a betta fish from a bag. Licorice candy scales reflecting through the glass. An exercise in incorporating an object into a speech: just keep swimming. I tried to return the fish to the teacher, but she told me it was…

Betta FishMy senior year of high school, I pulled a betta fish from a bag. Licorice candy scales reflecting through the glass. An exercise in incorporating an object into a speech: just keep swimming. I tried to return the fish to the teacher, but she told me it was mine. On freedom's cusp, I did not want even the weight of a small creature.

My flash story Dreams is up at Flash Fiction Magazine today. I wrote the first draft in 2020 well before I started to take writing more seriously. That only happened in the last year, but I'm so glad I found my way back to this piece. I'm very proud of it and would love if you gave it a read!
