While calm scenes would suddenly burst into incendiary action unannounced.
There were so many details that walked such a comical, absurdist edge that could have veered into funny but managed to be all the creepier for that reason.
Go into this blind, if you still can. It is so worth it.

I happened to love that so much of the story was left untold, completely up-to-interpretation & that so many of my expectations were subverted (especially with the way it was scored, scenes with dramatic, screechy crescendos that seemed to choreograph a jump scare would fizzle out --

Now that I'm writing again, I have this insane wealth of inspiration to carry me through. An embarrassment of riches. Are they all winners? Ha, no. But I've got enough here to keep the fire going for a long winter, if needed.
