And you don’t ever refer to anyone by their pronouns? My point is that if you intentionally called someone by the wrong name, you would (rightly) be called an asshole- and you would probably agree that’s an asshole thing to do. So why don’t you feel the same way about pronouns?

If you intentionally called someone a different name after they told you their name, you would also get that reaction. So why are pronouns any different?

I think the problem with federation in general is that it’s a technical solution for what is fundamentally a human problem, which I think a lot of engineer types and the tech industry don’t really seem to understand.

Not to mention all of the ransomware attacks that have crippled hospitals/libraries/governments/etc and caused billions in losses simply WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED if we had banned crypto back in the day.
