megami magazine kakimoto interview comments on Sakiko Doing All That, these are very quick and sloppy translations that i did for luna but this is the gist of it!
—During Ave Mujica's reunion live, there was a point where Sakiko and Uika's eyes didn't meet, but was that meant to show that Sakiko doesn't return Uika's feelings? I think you can say at that point she absolutely doesn't. She invited Uika into Ave Mujica, and Sakiko is just taking responsibility for that point. Uika saying "I'll give you my whole life" is surely too painful for her. But of course, the person who first said that when Ave Mujica was formed was Sakiko herself, and at that time she already had that resolve. There's been a reversal here, where she had the other members swear themselves to her, but now she's being made to swear to them by the surrounding circumstances. Uika's feelings are too heavy, and Sakiko can't even look at her. However, she can't ignore her forever, so she glances at her to check up on her, but at that moment Uika is lost in the song to convey her feelings and isn't looking at Sakiko. Those intersecting gazes are an embodiment of "these two not understanding each other's feelings." —In episode 12, in the scene where all the members of Ave Mujica gathered at RiNG, after calling all the members by name Sakiko declared “I’m going to become God”, but does that mean at that time Sakiko had found a new resolve in herself? That's right, I think it's something close to self-suggestion. That is to say, forcibly returning the state of things to how they were at the start. In coming here, Sakiko is also realizing "there's nothing I can do about this situation anymore." Concerning Uika, her circumstances originated with the Togawa family and her birth, so everything was set in stone no matter how Sakiko conducted herself. That being the case, I think she no longer had the option to confront the fate she'd been fighting and being crushed to dust by all this time. Having realized that she herself is too powerless, and that powerful things are in motion unrelated to her, she steeled her resolve to "Forget everything that happened that doesn't concern me" and "more than that, just protect our miniature garden." Or to put it the other way around, I think it would be right to say that the arrogance she was carrying before, that "everything is my responsibility", "I should carry everything on my shoulders", has been scraped away. However, after she snapped at her grandfather and ran from the Togawa house, when she and Uika are playing together in high spirits, and they return to Uika's house and Uika is making coffee for her, I think Sakiko suddenly blurting out "I hate it" is surely her herself not being able to accept her own decision. As Sakiko learned from her love for Tomori's lyrics, what she loves is truth that has the strength to touch people's hearts. Her ideal person who has the strength to choose to fight fate - I think that was her late mother and MyGO!!!!!. She wanted to become a strong woman like her mother, and being able to move forward one step at a time like MyGO!!!!! was her true ideal. But for herself, that's not possible anymore. Coming to terms with that feeling, and still deciding to raise her head and say "I'm going to do whatever I can", I think that's her image as a heroine. The miniature garden Sakiko is protecting, the tiny, gaudy miniature garden for the sake of protecting Ave Mujica's world, she doesn't know when that too may end. No matter how desperately she tries to protect it, it's like a sandcastle that's been crumbling from the start, but even so, I think Sakiko decided to live on carrying that, even if it's different from the ideal of her mother, and protect it to the end by donning the mask of a god, as a lone person who is not a god.
