I agree with that point. It’s shitty he got used as a punching bag. I don’t think he’s deflecting any and all criticism but I can definitely see how it may seem that way and I agree you shouldn’t use it as a deflection like you mentioned. Just hope everyone can move on soon.

I can see your point. Lots of people probably saw the video then just disengaged like you mentioned. I know I was the same way initially. Watched it, disagreed, then moved on. Classic case of twitter weirdos making things a bigger deal than what they actually are.

I don’t think that’s the point tbh. I disagree with the majority of what he said but I didn’t immediately resort to sending him hate and death threats like some edgy middle schooler. Unfortunately the voices of those in bad faith are a hell of a lot louder than those who aren’t.

The greatest sin you committed was trying to have a well-meaning, intelligent conversation with people who are clearly mentally unwell. Sucks that you’ve become a punching bag for their frustrations and hope it doesn’t dissuade you from doing more videos in the future dude.
