Canadian googling Saatchi… ah yes we have the big money collections here too. Narrows the view! And keeps most of it in the vault most of the time.

Part of what I’m taking from it is that we have lost the ability to show reverence without gatekeeping and commodifying it. Keeping art common and accessible doesn’t have to mean making it less important or sacred or valued.
