The "net" part is already being used to justify airport expansion &other means of guaranteed fossil-fuel emissions being pumped from the lithosphere into the atmosphere, all under the dodgy equivalence with much less certain sequestration in the biosphere. Just separate them out &bin the "net' scam.

Net zero is when there's sufficient silence from the science & expert community, that any old fluff & nonsense can masquerade as Paris-compliant. Just look at the UK; more oil/gas/LNG/airport expansion, all net-zero compliant. The expert (& journalist) community has failed society on the 'net' scam.
