Three more lost years with Witold Banka as WADA boss will come. After supporters apparently strained eligibility rules he will continue. Banka is by far the weakest president in history of WADA. Banka really said that they have done everything correct 😂. Even their so called „independent prosecutor“ („independent“ - but paid/mandated by WADA…😂) said in his report, WHY WADA’s handling was based on missing evidence and a clear lack of factual basis. WADA President Banka gave a speech which ignored almost every reasonable argument in the China case (against WADA‘s secret handling of 23 positive tested Chinese swimmers). Instead of admitting the clear breaches of the rules he attacked agressively his critics - particularly in the US. (2)

The restrictive WADA „Terms and Conditions“ for journalists are no longer in place (to some degree…). After pressure from several journalistic entities WADA retracted initial version. See new version. Still strange paper, but better. Anyway: It’s worrying that WADA needed a lesson in press freedom.

WADA media Fitzgerald says there is „no attempt to ‚influence‘ journalists reporting. But says in a „terms and conditions“ paper for media: „Journalists should avoid making inappropriate or defamatory comments“ (WADA definition 😉). He announces potential ban if media don’t agree/sign 😂. So clever 😉.

The German Association of Sports Journalists also strongly protests against WADA‘s new media rules. See letter here. Responsible for restricting media: WADA President Banka, Director General Niggli and Spokesperson Fitzgerald. ARD headquarters also protested against the unbearable restrictions.

And WADA continues… „appropriate levels of courtesy“ and „respect to the delegates expected“. This has to be signed only by journalists - not by other participants of course 😂… Otherwise journalists are not allowed to attend. And who defines „levels of courtesy“ and „respect“? WADA media… 😆😂 (3)

Apart from the fact that the contamination in the hotel kitchen is unrealistic and highly improbable anyway there is - contrary to WADA‘s claims - NO PROOF AT ALL for unintended contamination according to scientific experts who have checked on behalf of NY Times the Chinese research papers. /2

It‘s such a shame - and WADA’s bosses Bańka and alongside with their loyal supporter WADA I&I Younger stay under enormous pressure in the China case. What ARD reported already in „Doping Top Secret: The China Files“ in April now confirmed by different high level scientists. Read New York Times > /1
