Tsunami / water level gauge experts. Any idea what this late peak at Midway is? Glitch or something real?
Keeping an eye on water levels as the tsunami waves hit Hawaii (bottom row) while the waves are still hitting Midway (top right). Good reminder why we won’t be in the clear for a while.

Excellent seismology sights from my trip to Japan! Was able to tour ERI to see their marine geophysical instrumentation labs (photos 1-2), and learn more about their design and recent/ ongoing experiments. And spotted this gem (3) wandering around Tokyo. Not pictured: an excellent time at JpGU.
