Jokic will exploit bad non vertical defense and draw fouls from sloppy play, Shai will jump into people or kick off of them to flop and get a call. You can disagree with both but one is significantly cheaper, and big men have a hard time getting calls especially if it's a smaller guy e.g. Caruso

Jokic also exploits players slipping up and covering his shot path illegally. The difference is Shai jumps or sticks his leg out into players, then goes flying to get the call. One is exploiting mistakes the other is flopping
