I am lecturing on important "math" tricks for machine learning. One that I like a lot is softmax overflow, where we subtract the max logits from the exponents to ensure computational stability.

Most probably know of it, but I still find it nice.

reviewing at #ICLR2025, #neurips2024, #ICML, and all other #ML and #AI venues costs time. I don't understand why not all of you ask to be paid. If we pay reviewers and force submission costs per author, the quality of submissions and reviews will increase.
