That mounting, palpable annoyance & inconvenience is an extremely significant victory in & of itself whether or not any of these companies actually significantly loosen their adult content policies - I HOPE they do, but even if they don't we've still made massive gains compared to a week ago

Because all of a sudden, the calculus behind these threats has changed. Any CC or paypro that's thinking about strongarming a platform that carries adult content now has to think "is this worth weeks of our phones and inboxes being utterly gunked-up?"
