Let's go Caps!

Copernicus, Galileo, Einstein and all the other geniuses I'm too lazy to name, they all missed it. The center of the universe is Derry, Maine.

Twenty minutes of desperation, flop sweat and a crooked little man inside an ill-fitting, padded suit. I'm more optimistic than I've been all year.

Caps open the second period, balls out, trying new things. This is why I love Carbs. He gets it. This is now a practice against an opponent.

Man oh man. I'm so glad I stayed up to watch this late game. Ryan Leonard just shot the goal the Caps drafted him to shoot. Beauty.

Wow. I don't know if the algorithm has gone all wonky, or what, but you people need to calm down. I'm kidding, actually, but panic is not the solution. We've got this. Stay woke and be ready to fight.

In case you never hear from me again, I just connected Gemini to our Google Home.

Things were moving really quickly for those of us that like progress. Marriage equality, then Me Too, Black Lives Matter, Trans is a thing that you don't need to fear or hate, etc. It's not a surprise that people who are scared by they're Team Trump.

You know, it's incredible what Jane Goodall did. She's the equivalent of a Charles Darwin and we were fortunate enough to watch her, in real time.

In addition to explaining why the Comey prosecution is more likely to prove Kash lied to SJC than that Comey did, it also explains what we know of theory of case.

Will Jim Comey's Prosecution Prove Kash Patel Lied to Senate Judiciary Committee? - emptywheel
Kash Patel may struggle to come up with some explanation for why he revisited details from a long-closed leak investigation focused on Dan Richman other than what he disclaimed under oath to the Senat...

Hey, Bob Ballard, if you're out there, I also was trained as an Oceanographer and have long admired you. I'm watching Cleopatra's Final Secret (really good!) and you mentioned how difficult sonar mapping is in shallow water. Did anyone think of using bathymetric LIDAR?

Not a huge fan of Newsome but I do appreciate the good work he is doing.

I bet the US team wishes tRump hadn't swung by the Ryder Cup the other day. Europe clearly took that as motivation. Today was a complete disaster, the Americans played well but the Europeans put their foot on USA's throat and just never let up the pressure. It's rare that golf is this exciting.

I also think that every single time Trump says, "is that OK?", he's asking his BFF Vlad.

If the most amazing John Cleese had a presence on this platform, I'd love to ask him to compare and contrast Life of Brian and Jesus Christ, Superstar. Which is more profane? And there's a reason to ask that, today.

This is where we are going, if we don't wake up.

I just watched the first episode of High Potential and, wow, it just hit me so hard what it's like to live in a neurodivergent world. Like, they just saw me.

I find it insulting when people call it the "American experiment." Sure, we're struggling right now, but for the most part we've done pretty well over the last 250 years. Renouncing tRumpism and climbing out of our current pit of despair is just another opportunity for exceptionalism. Right?

Ran into former Cap Garnet Hathaway at his charity event in Philly tonight. He might be a Flyer now but he's still a great guy. His Dogfish Head Engine 19 IPA is delicious and backs a great cause.

Pain is subjective. We all know someone who is addicted to it, and we all know someone who fears it. It can be toxic. When you hurt, it scares you, and the pain gets worse and spirals. I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm not scared of pain and I can put it away in a box, but I don't embrace it.

This is what you need to do. Watch S2 of Wednesday and think about how Barry Dort reminds you of DJT. It's brilliant and makes the show even better. It's as good as listening to Dark Side of the Moon while watching Wizard of Oz. Think about it.

Today was a good day. I feel selfish but I almost completely forgot about bad things. I am so fortunate to be where I am.

This probably won't even make the news but USPS is making huge cuts in their labor rates for contractors. I'm on contract there for Cyber Security and my salary just got set back 10 years. Feel like I'm doing important things for them but this is a real gut punch.
