My 17 yr old was the first trans high school athlete in Indiana to get a "waiver" to swim as his affirmed gender on the male team. He swam for two years. He chose not to swim this year due to all the EOs coming out. I'm sad but relieved because I'm sure it would have been hell 😭

As the mother of two trans masc children, this is my very worst nightmare. Sam's story fucking gutted me. Broke my fucking mom heart into a million pieces.

That comes from an extremely privileged position. We were just having this conversation the other day about people just not grasping the severity of things because it's not affecting them.
