Republicans had no majority in the House from 1955 to 1995 and had only 6 years of Senate majority between 1955 and 1995. They only returned to having majority control of both several times since 1995. Notice how great their track record has been? Disastrous budgets/deficits, shutdowns. LEADERSHIP!
