Today marks 3 weeks since surgery. It’s been tough but the lack of pain makes it worth it. Didn’t expect to have my bladder removed at 23, but I’m glad I did it.

I’ve cried so much since last Wednesday.
Being the one to decide to end Toto’s suffering brought on guilt and sadness I wasn’t ready for. I know it was the right thing to do. The vet said his quality of life wouldn’t improve even if the meds worked. but boy does the right thing hurt.

The hardest part of owning a dog is saying goodbye. Especially when it’s unexpected and out of the blue.
I love you so much, Toto. Mommy promises I did everything I could for you. In the end, saying goodbye was the last love I could provide.
Fly free and out of pain, sweet boy.

Dec 10th I will be having bladder removal with an Indiana pouch creation do to neurogenic bladder. Currently I suffer from bladder pain that has turned debilitating along with frequent UTIs. I’d love to connect w anyone that has had this done. Long shot I know 🤣

Here’s my horse Finley. He’s a 20ish year old quarter horse and I’ve had him for just over a year.
We mainly do trails with a bit of arena work but hopefully next year I’ll be feeling well enough to do more with him.
