ONE LAST THING that I appreciate a lot is having a talking horse cartoon but the horses are actual horse colors!!! I'd like it if WM had some horse marking too but god I can only take so many pastel ponies after a while lmao. the mane stripes also constantly remind me of horseland. my og love

as for the actual world of wild tho- & apparently this isn't the finalized version anymore -I REALLY love how horsey they made the setting too. the architecture is barns, the stop sign saying "whoa" instead, etc. really wish they had stuck with this concept than the one we got

the toys even look amazing from a quality standpoint. g5 was pretty rough... literally. with a bunch of toys being stuck to one pose, moveable but stiff legs, & some not even having moveable heads or molded manes
meanwhile these ones have a fully articulate leg/head, all brushable manes, carts, etc

the promo art for this series is crazy good too. not super wild on the animated style but it's not at all bad either. it's actually pretty appealing. nothing beats this artwork of the horses tho. this is literally what got me into the show originally, keeps me here, & where the designs really shine

other than that, I'm not crazy about the dresses slapped on to horses in the show, but those are all mostly minor characters it seems. for the most part, the fashion element of WM is INSANELY good & very appealing to a horsegirl audience im sure. sundae is another fav example of the stuff above

cherie & candi are two other good ones, with boots & wraps!!! I never see these stylized like this!!! especially cherie's case

while I love both her color pallets, I have always loved her shorter hair design way more. it differentiates her silhouette from celestia much more which to me fits her character better- and she isn't literally a shadow of her sister anymore

while twice-as-fancy was still going, another gimmick line was launched towards its end. one of the ponies above, Pillow Talk, resembles them quite a bit, & could have even been the line's inspo: the merry-go-round ponies

in 1986, generation one introduced the "twice-as-fancy" toy line- its gimmick being extended marks!
this could vary a lot depending on the pony; with some markings only taking up slightly more space, while others extended all over the body creating a quite cluttered design [ #mlp #mlpg1🧵]

✦ the primary difference between the two is the colors. the USA ponies are all pastel to give them a dainty, porcelain look. meanwhile, the EU ponies all have "darker" colors, which match the actual colors of the pony the figure is based on
