anytime i see windows elements that have very clearly been kept in multiple versions unchanged for years its either something wonderful like the control panel or The Most Useless Unused UI Component that's seen the light of day twice ever

ive since changed it back since i value the caps lock more than ctrl on mac LOL but i do plan on eventually getting my code workflow purely in terminal using neovim & nvchad as a base

so i'll probably find a way to change caps lock per-app but that may pose issues so we'll see

not sure if i will get as much use out of it because on mac i actually end up using caps lock more than ctrl.... but we shall See..... if i end up switching to neovim it may be a well worthwhile change
