European trans person here. Saying that "European states sterilize trans people before transition" sounds like the last time you read up on this was about 20 years ago. There are currently 3 EU countries that still have some kind of sterilization requirements, out of 27.

Surely "fairness in sports" taken to its logical conclusion means you have to do away with the competitive aspect all together? Everyone who participates is automatically a winner and gets a medal! I'm sure that will go over super well with these people. 😁😇

It's all about the filibuster. Dems are deathly afraid to lose it forever. Not because of what Trump will do, but because they know they will win back power in '28 and without the filibuster allowing Republicans to block all attempts at progressive legislation, things might actually start to change.

I read books and I have the skills to write, yet I'd never bother writing a book, nor do I understand people who still do and expect to be successful. It's a dead medium and in 50 years it'll probably be gone, because most people don't read books now and they're not about to start doing it again.
