More #NoKings signs from today. Today’s turnout was certainly larger than the last No Kings!
Sign at today’s No Kings protest with a chilling and timely quote from the Diary of Anne Frank. The sign say: "Terrible things are happening outside. Poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women and children are separated. Children come home from school and find that their parents have disappeared." Diary of Anne Frank January 12, 1943 White sign with black handwritten message that says: “‘… And that government of the people, by the people, for the people Shall not perish from the Earth.’ Abraham Lincoln Nov 19, 1863” Colorful sign with hand written bubble letters. The sign says “No Kings. Power to the people.” And has a crown crossed out on each side of the sign. sign: “well now you’ve pissed off the menopausal women” there is an image of medusa in the middle of the sign.

#NoKings today in Bay Area, CA. Some wonderful signs, kids, dogs, babies, elderly folks, veterans, lgbtq+ folks… people of all stripes standing against tyranny and peacefully fighting for our rights and Democracy.

CEO posted on a waffles comment. Then someone asked if they’d banned S*ngal. Then she replied with “waffles.” People had thoughts about her seemingly taking anti trans hate not seriously or not taking action on it etc. Then, she decided to double down and post a pic of a waffle.

Social media doesn’t have to be this way.” Lucas, another Bluesky account, responded to Jay: “have y’all banned Jesse Singal yet or” Jay replied to Lucas with: “WAFFLES” The next day Jay, Bluesky CEO, posted:“Amazing breakfast this morning. I love waffles.” She included a photo of a round waffle, topped with berries and a dusting of powdered sugar (that is icing sugar for my UK, AUS, NZ etc. friends), on a table with dappled light.

Many good California and Anti-ICE signs! My favorite is the horchata one.
