i need more horror movie recs that arent solely just trying to be scary. movies that provide social commentary would be a better way to describe what i want maybe idk. like talk to me is about drug usage, smile is about trauma, get out is about racism, his house is about refugees, etc.

#UminekoSpoilers I think it does a huge disservice to Eva and Natsuhi’s characters when you act like their feelings towards each other is pure hatred. I don’t even mean this in just an #evanatsu way either. It feels very reductive and very surface level to look at it that way in general.

I'm realizing I have so many VNs that I started and then dropped (paranormasight, spirit Hunter NG, fatal twelve, shuten order etc.) and it's actually kinda stressing me tf out. how the hell do people commit to one thing 😭 💀

I also kinda don't like the way krauss was retconned in the answers arc. he originally was supposed to be similar to kinzo & I feel like by dumbing him down so much it ruined lot of the earlier themes & people forget how misogynistic he is. I think his original character was more interesting 💀

one thing I think is nice about here rather than umitwit is I'm seeing a lot more nuanced conversation about ryukishi. I remember seeing people liveblogging umineko and literally being dogpiled for any criticisms while in the process of reading. it's kinda bad tbh
