I agree. I don't mind discussing it, but text-based social media do love to muddy our nuance, don't they?
For clarity, I'll add that I wouldn't say it's been unambiguously positive. I just tend to think of the space's shortcomings and disappointments as symptoms of deeper societal ills.

As for the amount of content out there that is not well-aligned to a sense of community ... that's more the internet, social media, and human society's failing. I can hardly lay that squarely on gamers or our industry alone.

Hell yeah. I have a Kawasaki-branded one from when I was a kid. Still red, just has the Kawasaki logo text instead of the insignia.
