I grew up in that smog in the 70s/80's. I remember days where recess was kept indoors due to the air quality being too bad. The difference is stunning. If nothing else, we should be seeking clean energy and motors just to prevent that being part of our future.

Yeah, after reading Derek's thread, I'm a bit shocked that that's all that TE was able to take away from it. Well written discussion covering a wide range of things, of which JP's "fashion sense" is a side show, which struck me more as insightful observation and commentary not... gatekeeping.
