Apparently I was Bluesky user #88,132.

No one would applaud if I finished 88,132nd in a marathon… I wouldn’t get any concert tickets if that was my place in the queue… It’s hard to believe it’s something to celebrate. Internet-scale is weird.

Happy election day — most especially to the people who make it all happen.

Wishing a great day to polling station staff, returning officers, ballot box movers, count teams and everyone who makes our elections process work… Cheers to you!

Insightful wrap-up today from this week’s People’s Panel on AI. A representative group spent the week examining the issues and coming up with recommendations. A thought-provoking discussion to observe. #ConnectedByData

We made banana chocolate chip bread this evening.

I took the executive decision to double the chocolate — because the recipe seemed under-chocolated.

It was a good decision… but made the bread much gooier and harder to serve. Ah well. Somehow, we suffer through.

Where does my NHS patient data go?

This work is amazing. Read Jess Morley’s thread (or the Lancet paper) for a breakdown of the issues.

And check out this image — I’ve searched my whole career for something this comprehensive and yet simple.

It was somehow reassuring to see the bees out, doing their thing.

I stumble across the most interesting things in this household. This was lying out when I came to the kitchen this morning.
