Notice that she did with Magneto the same thing she did with Vulcan. She fed Magneto with her life force, keeping the energy in a cyclical motion to amplify the life force and then fragment the Shadow King.

Both through her mutant powers and through magic, Storm manipulates life force. And maybe that’s where her abilities converge. She can both transfer and absorb this type of energy, and she can retroaliment this energy, maintaining a cyclical movement.

But this wasn’t something universal in her lineage. Ashake explained that each of the witches in her lineage had a different magical specialty.

Well, Storm's lineage was inspired by the Rain Queens, but there is nothing in canon that supports this, since her true lineage comes from Egypt.
Claremont only drew inspiration from the Rain Queens for Ororo because she was initially declared the Weather Witch.

But what flows from the crown of creation into the material realm is the lightning of creation (light). The Aether is the spirit that animates the world, and this spirit is manifested in the universe.

I don't think Storm's mutant powers are tied to magic, because her mutant powers can be turned off. When she used magic in Limbo, she was 'without' her mutant powers.

And that’s where everything collides, because Storm’s magic, in a way, is magic that is by definition meant to create and restore life, beings, and even realities, since she created a dimension within the Limbo.

This resonates with what Claremont wrote decades ago, when Ororo created a sanctuary full of life in Limbo. She created a dimension within Limbo that Belasco and his demons could not access.

In this case, where she stated that she was one with all of creation, she was speaking about how her mutant abilities connected her to all of creation. But Ewing described her as a magical being of pure creation magic.

But the Aether is magic. After I saw you associating Ororo with the lightning of creation, it’s clear that this was really what Ewing had in mind, since he likes to work with elements of the Jewish Hermetic Kabbalah.
