Urban legends and myths are everywhere. Cybersecurity has some, too. That’s why we started a project called “Hacklore”. Hacklore are cybersecurity myths, folk advice, and panic-driven narratives that persist long after the landscape has changed.
Our culture rewards spectacular claims ("OMG! You'll get hacked if you use coffee shop wi-fi!") and largely ignores the unglamorous work of saying “this isn’t true anymore.”

Nevertheless, we persist. 🔐
