Just published v0.3.1 of my rimraf #dotnet tool. This updates all the dependencies, builds & tests on more environments including Ubuntu & Windows ARM, and fixes a null reference exception. It's also the last .net 8 release before finally moving to .net 9.

Is it a bug or a feature?

Every time my monitors turn on I get this alert and have to:

1. Right click the task bar
2. Go to Taskbar Settings
3. Expand Taskbar Behaviors
4. Toggle Show on all Displays
5. Finally turn Auto-hide Taskbar back on

Why is such a simple thing so damn complicated?!

I've been working on a new website built with @astro.build & @tailwindcss.com and after far too long the first post is now up!

Along the way I built a couple Expressive Code plugins. One of them adds file icons to code blocks which is what this post is about.

Just noticed there's a setting to hide copilot chat on your #github dashboard 🎉

It's at github.com/settings/cop... and is called 'Dashboard entry point'.

#NuGet came out in 2010 and we still can't install or update multiple packages at the same time with it. By contrast #NPM came out the same year and has supported this for as long as I can remember.

Just one of the many thing I think of when a #dotnet dev tries to make fun of the JS ecosystem.

First time making or having Basque Cheesecake and it was delicious. Much easier than a typical cheesecake too since there's no crust or water bath to fuss around with.

@una.im has there been a css media query/browser setting proposal for letting the user pick if they prefer a left or right hand UI orientation? Something that's independent of text direction, that way elements can be positioned for easier use with one hand.

@jenmsft.bsky.social I've been getting this since upgrading to Win11 a few years ago, but on 24H2 it happens nearly every time my monitors turn on. Besides disabling auto-hide, is there something I can do to prevent this?

"What was the 1st album you bought with your own money?"

I can't remember which one I got first since they came out a month apart. It was either America's Least Wanted by Ugly Kid Joe or Grave Dancers Union by Soul Asylum . Both were on cassette.

Here's the phono pre-amp I've been working on. The panels were designed in Figma using @rsms.me's Inter for the font, #heroicons for the icons, and #tailwindcss colors for the warning. Despite a couple issues I couldn't be happier.
