I think 35 was added later so I’m guessing 34 was Womens and 35 Mens as they did this a lot in the early days. Lots of interesting retailers in 21 after Next! Have you seen there’s new stores opening in Alnwick and Newcastle later this year?

I have some info! Our previous stores were at 34/35 Silver St (replaced by the current store in 1999) and one at 21 Market Place. There’s no record of one at number 17 but it could well have been a Hepworths that was closed and not converted

Hi Graham, good to hear from you! Sorry for not replying sooner I’m still getting used to looking on Bluesky. I’ll check the archive tomorrow, I know we had a store in the city centre before the current one
