The sooner respite is introduced so residents get a break from the noise, the better.

London City wants to attract bigger planes. Since they could not land as steeply as the current planes, it has asked the CAA permission for these planes to land at a shallower angle. City hopes by using bigger planes it can increase passengers but limit growth in flights. Public consultation 2026.
