That would have left 2 2nds, a third, Matheson, Mailloux, Roy, Rohrer for Horvat.
Seems high but who knows what it'll take to get a centre in this market! Maybe take out Mailloux and add a different prospect?

I don't think those are *huge* pieces. Kapanen's ceiling isn't that high. Xhekaj is a 7D. 17OA in a weak draft where you are already picking 16. You aren't close to touching any of your premium assets.
As for for Carlo... He's a fine 4D. It would actually probably take more than that to get him
