Tom Wilson baited Josh Anderson into that penalty. He just took the puck and basically stood along the boards with his back to the play waiting to get hit from behind.

Little doubt that Lane Hutson will be Target #1 for the Capitals tonight. He has been for most of the year, but playoff hockey is different than regular season hockey. How he responds will dictate whether or not the Canadiens actually have a chance in this series.

So how long until Tom Wilson does something stupid tonight? I give it 10 minutes.
April 21, 2025 at 10:01 PM
Is Nick Suzuki hurt? That hit looked bad.

This is both the most electrifying and the most disappointing game I’ve watched in a long time. Demidov looks unbelievable, but I’m so disappointed the team is playing like this in such a big game.
April 15, 2025 at 12:37 AM
I’ve seen enough - I want Demidov on PP1. No time to waste.
April 15, 2025 at 12:35 AM
Demidov is unreal. Trying not to overreact but this is something.
April 15, 2025 at 12:22 AM
The Demidov Show was fun for 20 minutes but the Canadiens are objectively not playing well. In a huge game, against an inferior opponent with nothing to play for.

The Canadiens gave Columbus some life and they’re taking full advantage. Now only 3 points back. Enough with the slow starts - we need to beat the Blackhawks in regulation tomorrow and put an end to this. Huge Monday night on tap at the Bell Centre.

Hayden Hodgson will be making his season debut for the Sens tonight. He has 11 points and 156 PIM in 43 games in the AHL this season.

Don’t love the fact that Arber Xhekaj isn’t in the lineup for this one.
April 11, 2025 at 10:55 PM
LOVE that from Slafkovsky (although maybe Arber can give him a few pointers moving forward…)
February 23, 2025 at 2:30 AM
The break seems to have helped a lot but the Canadiens really look like a different team when they can roll 4 lines.
February 23, 2025 at 1:40 AM
Ullmark is a sieve tonight but Slafkovsky deserved that goal
February 23, 2025 at 1:37 AM
What are the odds we can get this man in net by the start of the 2nd period?
Carey Price is in Montreal ahead of the USA 🇺🇸 vs Canada 🇨🇦 game tonight

Connor McDavid wearing red and scoring at the Bell Centre on a Saturday night is the thing dreams are made of.

It’s like the Canadiens started to play well, proved to themselves that they can beat the good teams and then were like “Okay, that was pretty good - we’re satisfied” and morphed back into the October-November version.

Xhekaj-Hutson will be a high event pairing. Not sure we’re gonna like all of the events that happen, but it won’t be boring.

Nick Suzuki becomes the first Habs player since Saku Koivu & Mark Recchi in 1996-1997 to reach 50 points before the 50th game.

Not a great night for Mike Matheson.

If I were Martin St. Louis I would simply play Cole Caufield for the entire 3rd period.
