inventor of the seth rogen curry. Currently playing: Cyberpunk 2077
so uh, I have done stuff

my Linux escapades are worth like twenty posts, but the reason I've been away is because I assembled my own proper desktop for the first time ever (and got a B580 for a nice price), but I'm also running Nobara now.

Open bluesky after a while, see the CTO woefully fuck up the entire torment nexus analogy

Me and my rotten luck means the chair I've been wanting to buy in November is on discount...now

so here's hoping Black Friday makes it around that price again next month. Guh
October 18, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Been thinking about how to treat myself with my first paycheck in November and I'm honestly just thinking I'll probably order a small commission on Rean or Van honestly because fun things are fun.

Well, I'm going to work for the first time in years tomorrow...it's an actual work contract too. Estimate is that I'll probably be there till February, so even if it's just a couple months, I think it's a decent chunk of change.

My Cyberpunk adventures have culminated in romancing Judy and doing all of the cyberpsycho sightings. I'm kinda shocked at just how mediocre the rewards are for the latter

(Spoilers for Reverie and Daybreak I-II)
Here's the promised notes on my opinions and grievances with Daybreak II. As I said, I may have treated it too harshly but you can clearly see how it would've benefited from a bit more time in the oven.
August 28, 2025 at 12:52 PM
(spoiler image) Trails through Daybreak II is complete at about 55 hours. Won't count the postgame into this.
August 28, 2025 at 10:51 AM
So, uhhh.....

Trails through Daybreak II is now complete on my end. There's some post-game stuff but uh...yeah, I'm done.

Will write a document posted in screencaps marked as sensitive content so nobody gets spoiled unless they want to. I may have been too harsh on it.

Spent the last 13 hours playing Cyberpunk for the first time ever. Given my laptop is...a hunk of junk, it doesn't look good, but runs fine. Been pretty interested in the characters and writing in general, so CD Projekt's been doing a good job in that regard.
August 23, 2025 at 10:38 PM
So I was installing Cyberpunk on the side overnight so I had something entertaining to play in the morning, right?

Windows decided to ignore an installation running at the same time and updated itself, completely corrupting the install

After the finale is done, I will basically be done with Trails until Horizon comes out. It only hit me just now, so I'm a little empty-feeling but then again, bunch of cool stuff happened so I'm not too broken about it
August 20, 2025 at 7:31 PM
Very ambivalent towards Daybreak II's Act III, because like...it's not even bad right now, it just takes a while and some of the <insert story gimmick> here is just done a little poorly. So far so good, not the part I hate about Daybreak II so far.
August 18, 2025 at 5:44 PM
I'm now at Fragments in Daybreak II...to say the amount of presents is huge would be understating it, there's a lot. Seems there might be a lot to do so I'll be thorough
August 11, 2025 at 6:32 PM
I should probably start adding my cooking extravaganzas to bsky again just to show I do something else than trailspost 90% of the time.
August 8, 2025 at 11:07 AM
With Daybreak II's Act II-A done, I'm legit sitting in my chair for the past fifteen minutes and wondering if Falcom actually wrote Heiyue from Zero to this point, or if they had someone outsource that job, because whoever was responsible for their previous iterations did a way better job.

Checked my discord activity and you can tell I've got a one track mind just by this screenshot alone

It's been literal years since I did a minecraft modpack and I can tell I'm out of depth since the last thing I played was Voltz.

What the hell is a Tekxit, what's a gregtech

My general worry about Daybreak II is all in the story. Having to redo all my Xiphas sucks a little but I know I can fix all that in a pretty short period of time. I've heard...very conflicting opinions about Act III so we'll see.

Rapid Daybreak II impressions:
+Loads slightly faster
+Effects are utilized way better in-game with crafts and such
+Characters express themselves way more with different facial emotions and effects like sweating
+Van running around the map also feels a little smoother

Shitty things happened in life so I figured that as a distraction I will finish Daybreak.
63 hours and 12 minutes. Long diatribe to follow this while I'm downloading Daybreak II.
July 23, 2025 at 10:12 PM
After some reconsideration I will put up the tierlist of the Trails games that I have played alongside some re-ranking after thinking about it for literally...like, days on end for every Trails game.

I regret nothing.
July 19, 2025 at 10:21 PM
I think what's the most powerful experience about Trails and RPGs/JRPGs in general is that you can't ever really relive some of the pivotal moments ever again. Estelle getting her badge, Lloyd meeting the crew, Rean being introduced to Class VII and Van showing how his job works is something that

So, didn't update on my Daybreak ventures for a while, that's cause I've been busy playing it. Currently in the final chapter. It's safe to say that Daybreak won't be getting an S-tier, because I just don't really agree with the tonal shift after Reverie, but...it's still a very competent Trails--
